High school English teacher

I have been teaching since 1999, but this is my 2nd year at Westview. I am a 1999 undergrad of Ball State University, and a 2010 graduate of Ball State with a master's degree as a K-12 Reading Specialist. I live in Kendallville with my wife, Carrie (Lehman) - a 1995 graduate of East Noble - and my daughter Olivia. We moved here from Indianapolis, where I taught at Pike High School for nine years, to be closer to our family in Kendallville and for our daughter to attend better schools in this area. I am passionate about helping my students become excited about writing and finding their voice. I am also passionate about getting kids to read for academic and recreational purposes.
